Beginning in February 2014 Scrap Arts will be presenting classes on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at John Braithwaite Community Centre. Please call us at 604-980-8811 for details and follow this website for class descriptions and photos!

Art Journalling with Rubber Stamps $30

Rubber stamps can be used for so much more than just stamping ink! As this stunning art journal page shows, Janni used rubber stamps to create an incredibly textural surface that looks like aged metal. Janni will share these techniques (and others) on January 23rd!

Sweet and Sassy Mixed Media Cards $30

I'm seriously addicted to the new Doll stamps from Prima! I'm literally dreaming about all the different ways I can design and create with them! In this brand new class you'll also become addicted as you learn different methods and techniques, using a variety of mediums that you'll use to make 4 fab cards! We'll be doing lots of stamping and cutting, so if you have any condition that makes it difficult to cut I'd be happy to do the cutting for you, I love to do detailed cutting!!

Yupo and Alcohol Inks! $30

In this class, Janni will combine two unique products to create truly original works of art! You'll learn about Yupo paper (a specialty paper that is becoming all the rage) -- and alcohol inks. Janni will demonstrate how to create abstracts and florals using these non-traditional materials. You can incorporate your finished works of art into cardmaking, art journaling, scrapbooking, artist trading cards, and more! This class will sell out quickly!! The Gardener's Journal $35

This beautiful hard covered, multi-media book is perfect for a gardening journal, a special scrapbook, art journal, guest book, etc., the possibilties are endless! Distress Inks, paint, Inkagold, and Dylusion sprays add colour, dimension, and texture to this fabulous 8.5 x 11" journal book. You'll learn all about creating layers and depth with colour, how to make mono-coloured embellishments, and you will also learn how to use the Zutter machine!

Shadow Box Diorama $30

Don't you just love the mystery and drama that's inside shadow box dioramas? The hint of hidden secrets and endless possibilities is what you'll be creating when you make your very own 7 " x 10" shadow box diorama in this brand new class, Shadow Box Diorama! We've shown two samples that you can use as inspiration, and you can either use the papers shown in the samples or choose different papers, embellishments, inks, and paints from Scrap Arts' huge selection! This project would make the perfect gift, if you could bear to part with it!

Embrace Embossing! Card Class $30

In Shelley's fun new class you'll learn so many different embossing techniques that will bring your cards to a whole 'nother level of wonderfulness!
You will be 'feeling the heat' 'getting soaked' and have 'sticky fingers' after this very interactive class!! And the added bonus is that you'll have four fabulous cards that you won't want to give away!

Dylusional Mixed Media Canvas $35

Create a gorgeous mixed-media canvas (12 x 16") that can be framed or hung on the wall as-is! Janni will show you how to layer collaged elements with Dylusions sprays, acrylic paints, gesso, Distress Inks and a variety of stencils and tools. This class is chock full of techniques and tips! In the color scheme of your choice, you'll learn how to incorporate light and dark to create contrast and drama, as well as how to both add and remove color as you go. As with all of Janni's classes you'll get a detailed take-home sheet so you can remember what you've learned.

Bright and Beautiful Birthday Cards Class! $25

You'll be playing with flocking, folding, embossing and more when you make these bright and beautiful cards with Shelley. This is the perfect class for beginners and experienced crafters and the cards are ideal for every age group! Everything's included, all you need is adhesives!
